Hey guys, heres a few pics of the ESEE 4 I ordered, as you can see it's here. Pretty impressive build quality, a solid feeling little knife. Should fill the gap between my Ontario RAT 1 and my KA-BAR nicely.
Gotta get one of those Tek-Lok thingies, the Molle clips just aren't belt friendly.

obe-wan, nice shots. I have an ESEE-4 & an Izula inbound hopefully tomorrow (holiday & Sunday nixed delivery yesterday). Off Tuesday & Wednesday, so maybe some playtime with it both days. Good pics, great knife company.
Be safe.

Right on. That's my fav right there. I bought 3 , but the black is my favorite . Great all-purpose knife. 3/16" is a good strong thickness without being too thick. Some people don't like the handle , but I find no problems with it. A Tek-lok improves belt carry options greatly and is easy to attach with 2 screws for vertical carry. It's because of BF I discovered Esee knives and for that I'm grateful. I bought the whole line-up
Congrats :)

get the tec-clip, not the tec-lock.
easier to get on/off the belt.

Hey guys, Im pretty happy with it so far, I took it into work with me tonight and spent some time just holding it and admiring it!
Theres an ESEE photo thread? I must admit I havent navigated much around here yet. I got this one as I said, to fill the gap between my RAT 1 and the KA-BAR, wearing the KA-BAR on my belt in some more populated outdoors areas has got me a few disapproving looks at times, so the ESEE 4 should be just what Im looking for in terms of still being a very capable woods knife, (I dont do any heavy battoning or chopping) yet still discrete enough to not draw too much attention from the fun police.....

Looking forward to getting it dirty soon! Now, whats next.... an ESEE 6 ?????

Cheers, Scott.

If you have a 4 and want something bigger, I would recommend looking at the 5. The added length of the 6 basically offers more reach, but if you want "punch" and abuse-ready toughness for doing hard work (chopping and batoning) I think the 5 deserves a look. The 5 will likely shock you at how thick it is when you first handle it. It carries small, but packs a heck of a punch when you need to work over some wet lumber for fire building.

I have had mine only a short while, but it is rapidly becoming my favorite woods tool.

sweet score bro, the kydex sheath really makes itcomplete. Now it's time to get out there and use it :)

Hey guys, yeah Ive looked at the ESEE 5 but the fact that its not a full flat grind always put me off.... dunno why but I always look at these RAT/ESEE knives as being FFG. I could buy a 5 and a 6 I suppose....

nice.. and purdy, I've about completely wore the coating off mine.. had it out today and was felling 3" and 4" trees with it.. :D

just use paracord for belt carry.. its a great knife you can smack it around and it will perform.. believe me.. one of my all time favorite knives period..

Hey Rob, I took off the Molle locks today and tried the paracord..... yeah I like it! It strapped up alot firmer than I was expecting, and next to not weight or bulk. Sits nice and close to the hip too. Thanks!
