I've been lurking on many of the dealer sites and occasionally eBay and Gunbroker looking for for a great deal on another ESEE probably a 3 or 4... Well I found a new OD Serrated RC-5 with the Eagle Sheath and the price was low enough that I threw out a bid and WTF I won!!! Money's tight so I assuaged my guilt by telling myself I'd sell it but now that I have it in my grubbies I just can't do it... Here is my small ESEE family...

Nice blade and sheath!

Quick question from someone that might be looking at one himself. Is the 5.25" listed blade length from the start of the edge or the end of the scales?

Thanks in advance! :)

From the scales... The edge is about 5"...

Can you tell me what the deciding factor was for you to go with the clip point blade on the E-6?

Congrats on your find. I've been looking for a new 5 with the Eagle sheath but haven't had any luck.

I have a 5 with Eagle sheath, serial #0023 on the RC-5. I like it too much to sell it though. Can't you buy the Eagle sheath seperately anymore? Does Eagle or anyone still stock them?

Well for a survival knife I know a clip point isn't the way to go but I've always been enamored with clip point knives and it was a great deal I found on eBay..

Love the 5.

Pictues never do that blade any justice. Much more impressive when you see it in person and hold it.

Grunt sweet ESEE 5! I have one with the eagle sheath and love it like it owes me. I know what you mean about having a thing about clip points. Must be us Marines and our Kabars that bring that out.
