Got out a little bit this morning for a quick hike near Mt Spokane and decided to take my Rat Pack along and see how it felt. I bought this a month or so ago but other than cutting up some stuff in the kiichen with the ESEE-5 had'nt carried it yet. Thru some stuff in the Rat Pack and carried the S&W 317, GPS, and a water bottle in a Max Versapak.

I think I'm going to replace the ESEE 5 with a ESEE-4 or 3 to lighten it up a bit on the belt. Overall it carried well on the belt, but I was tempted to just put it in the Versapak. It fit under my issue gortex rain parka fine and I was able to fit most of what I carry in my Tactical Tailor E&E pouch in the Rat Pack. Mostly I really like it.

You've got a great looking kit! I also have a couple of the Tactical Tailor E/E Pouches that I use for a full stocked survival kit. Until ESEE came out with the RAT Pack, the E/E was by far the best pouch used for building a full stocked survival kit. Both the E/E and the large RAT Pack are pretty similar in size and set up. But being that Jeff and Mike listen to their customers and re-did the RAT Pack it's come up on top of the E/E and they give you the availability to purchase one of two sizes so your not stuck with one size that might be to big for what your looking for.

looks like a nice kit, I'm lookin into one of those airlites for hiking anf camping long distances, the 5 is my favorite knife out of the bunch!!!!

I was lucky enough to score one of these kits with the RC-5 still NIB from a fellow forum member. Offers a lot of configuration options but is a little bulky for belt wear.

I'm definitely going to try my hand at creating one of Adam's slings. Thanks for the link to the instructions!
