Every blade collector and user seems to be in search of that perfect blade, that combination of edge, purpose, carrying ability, strength, and of course good looks. Yes, looks are important too. I may have found my Excalibur today in that familiar triangle box.

It's a 15" M-43. This is a beautiful blade that not only looks great, but feels like it was made for me. When I pick it up, and force the blade forward, it just feels natural. I just wish I were out in the bush chopping on a felled tree.

Auntie, all I can say is thanks, and if you have another just like it, same size and balance., I'll buy it today.

Edit: pardon the busy look of my hotel, been a long trip this time. But notice I even travel with my sharpening stones.
Thanks

the 15" M43 is a fantastic marriage of form and function. I lost count of the number of logs I split into kindling with mine this winter. As much as I love my 17" M-43, the little brother seems to be a little handier for my needs. Great knife.

Congrats!

27oz. I have a 25 oz BAS with me also. Since more of the weight is in the handle of the M-43, it balances a little better than the 25 oz BAS.

Few guys here like em BIG.

For me the big ones are mainly to impress the guests. But like Steely_Gunz my go to users are smaller.
That M43 will do lot of work without killing your harm and wrist. And if you really need the extra punch... Just put two hands on it!

Glad you like it.

The Chiruwa handle make the M43 less nose heavy. Feels better in the hand.
The same weight BAS will pack little more punch.

Grats man! Beautiful blade. Looks like a Doberman on a stick. Its gonna chew up everything in its path eh?

Congrats on the M43 !!!!

Oh but once you hold a 21" Dui Chirra that feels like a 14" M43 or lighter than that then you'll be drooling !!!! Let the collecting continue!!!!!!

Yea. I love my m43 and dui. They're great blades. I really like my BAS though. But then, mine is 15 inch and 17.2 oz.

Ooo looks like a Kumar blade. Kumar is masterful. My first khuk was made by him. He left HI for awhile, but I am so happy to see him back. His blades always speak to me. It's like the man hammers steel for my hand alone, which is obviously silly. However, every single blade of his has always hung just right in my grip.

Great looking khuk! When a knife, or anything else for that mater, becomes an extension of your body, it doesn't get any better!

Well, "I told you".

As for the room, we all know you mall ninja'd it by swinging wildly your new acquisition and making all kind of strange but manly noises. It happens to all of us.

I mean...right fellas? ...right?

What's the weight?

Hey man. Missed you around. Everything alright?

(Wanted to ask you a little bit about tomahaks. I heard you were the expert. Can we move to the Cantina with this subect? Interested in a hand-forged, traditional (not tactical and all that), not coming out of a factory and reasonably priced one.)
