To All of You Who Care to Read,

A month or so ago I stumbled onto this forum and found the Buck Knives Forum. Being around computers all my life I knew about internet forums and was looking just for this type of group. I have just recently starting acquiring Buck 110s and dont profess any knowledge of knives other than I know they can be SHARP and cut the livin crap out of you if your not careful.
I was looking for information and knew I would find it here. Well, I have posted a few threads and responded to several. At first I really didnt get a real warm feeling from some of the responses, or lack of them. I was kind of thinking that maybe I had stumbled onto a cozy little group of folks that might not cotton up to somebody asking dumb ass questions about something he knows damn little, or maybe tryin to make funny and not to good at it. Anyways, I was thinking that maybe I would move on down the road and steer round of this forum. Well I could not be more wrong!
I was just provided with a "gift" from one of you, freely given with no strings attached...a true gentleman's gesture of trust and friendship....from a total stranger whom I have only "met" out there on the net'. I was, and still am, STUNNED at this generosity! I can only hope that someday I can return the favor. My faith in fellow man has been rekindled. There IS still hope for us all! You folk have demonstrated over and over in all of these threads a genuine common bond brought together by an interest in knives made by a true American company still trying to give you your money's worth. Its a GREAT COUNTRY and I am damned glad to be here! That's my story and I'm stickin to it!

well that calls for a sip from da jar !
maybe 2 or more as this tant the industral stuff !
good news is rite hard ta come by some times ...
glad ta hear it!

...Aww gooser...:p

I am at that stage now,I posted a few pictures of the knife and sheath I made and only received one comment on each of them so reading your story has lifted a little weight off the shoulders there may still be hope for this newbe.

well tim ... though we have some knife makers here mostly we yak on bucks
some here rework there own bucks but here we all like knives ...
i did not think ti made a good knife -does Ti hold an edge ?

If you are not fairly crazy about Buck knives.....you won't be able to stand it in this forum. I believe there are forums here for knifemakers and you might have more fun in one of those with more people of that particular interest.

I put a double edge on it so it should but I have only done a bit of pine wood shaving with it so far and it still shaves ok . At work I use a piece of Titanium with a "V" groove in it to deburr Aluminium and I don`t need to sharpen that very often .
Sorry no bucks yet only a swiss army knife in the pocket and a few older sheath knives in my drawer. Been reading posts and looking at a lot of knives all over this forum.

Hey HOE3...

This is a great forum.
I too have been impressed with some of the peeps here.
One guy even sent a unused out of the box 110 to a guy overseas for free. I have received a fine flat bolstered 112 as a gift, a 112 Founder for Christmas, and some great trades just because of the good gentlemen Buck Brothers here. On top of that, I learn something new each day.
Seldom do I steer away from here. And, when I do, I see how great this place is.
I hope you stick around HOE3. Ya can never have too many hoe's. I like ya here.

BTW, Darryl...TFF!!!!

Hey all. The people on this here forum are better then anywhere else.

I have due respect for a lot of people on here and they have all helped me out a lot...

Kudos to you all :)

Hi Harry...and All,

This is my home away from home....a sanctuary where I can BS with my fellow knife nuts...."Buck knives that is....Texas Tea....well the kin folks said".....Oops; sorry the mind was wandering again. It was not all that long ago that I found this place and was in your shoes as green as the day is long.....now I'm just green and still learn from this group every day also. The knowledge that these guys have is endless....someone will have an answer for any question.....folks the only dumb-assed question is the one not asked. Oh; I guess the attempt at humor may not make you laugh....but it's the way my mind works and no one here has ever made fun of my for trying to put a smile on their face :) ;)

I really have nothing more to add here other than I enjoy everyone of you fellow Buck nuts that I've had the pleasure to "meet" here on the forum and can only hope that some day to get the chance to talk to all of you together in the same room over a few beers.
