I have been on BF for a bit now, and have absolutely loved every minute of it. Thought I would post a picture of all my INFI. The MS was a gift from some of the hogs on here during my recent deployment to Iraq (thanks again), the only BUSSE i had before that was the BAE, which i svery near and dear to my heart. All the other blades were bought or traded for on here. I am ready to get inducted. Don't I qualify?

Great looking blades!

Thanks for your service while you were over there:thumbup:

Im really racking my brain on which INFI to take along. I know im taking the ASH-1, even though I have no sheath for it yet. WHich brings up the question of modding a specops sheath, i can not find the link for the thread that contains that info can any hog help with that?

well since im posting away here, i will try to post my 1st rocket launch, not the greatest video, but my 1st try at posting video. enjoy hogs!!!!!

Nice looking INFI line up!!
I would love to hear the story behind the old Badger E handle!!

At steelnuts request, I will tell a brief story about my BADGER E. I deployed to Iraq in the spring of 2003. I was a platoon sergeant. I have always liked knives, I guess you could call me a knife freak, (I guess all of us here are). Anyhow a platoon leader for another platoon had a knife that I liked a lot. It was the Badger E. He knew nothing about the company BUSSE and neither did I. He was given the knife by a neighbor while stationed at Fort Bragg.

From the day I set my eyes on the BAE, I knew I liked it. The platoon leader that had it knew I wanted it worse than he did. We would go thru trading sessions, becam a weekly ritual. I never had quite what he wanted. One week I finally made the deal. I had a bunch of stuff laid out on my cot and he said I think its time, the knife is yours. He proceeded to take the items that he wanted, heck by now I would of let him take cot and all!!!

A short time after the trade was made this platoon leader was killed in action. I continued to use the knife thruout the deployment. Once back home I placed it on a shelve in the platoon leaders honor. I plan on getting it made in to some sort of plaque. I do not use it anymore.

RIP Lt. Benjamin Colgan

If you go to the following link it will tell you a little about Ben.

Anyhow, At Steelnuts request, I posted this story. I owe him because he got me really fired up, when he sent me a meaner on my recent deployment. It is a user!!!!!

Thanks for telling about how you wound up with the BAe. Now I see why that knife means so much to you.

I'll go check the link out. edit- sounds like Ben was a great man, sorry he was lost in this war

Thanks again for your service.

Great family ya got there!!!

Use that LE, it's the best of the BATAC bunch IMHO.

And... cool story on the BAe... thanks for sharing.

Are you in the right thread Dennis:confused:

hehehe... watch the video.

well since im posting away here, i will try to post my 1st rocket launch, not the greatest video, but my 1st try at posting video. enjoy hogs!!!!!

Hell of a story, Mad...

You could probably dress it up a little bit with details and get that story published. I'd be glad to help out, actually. I am a writer and teacher of writing. That knife should certainly get a display case and some sort of placard. That fact that it was your first Busse makes the knife even MORE valuable. Thanks very much for sharing. When you get that thing displayed in a manner worthy of its history, please come back and post more pics.

Oh, and while that ASH-1 might be a great chopper, I believe you'll find the BATACLE to be the better camp-style knife (taking weight into consideration). If you check out Jeepnut's "The Contenders" thread, you'll see that while the BATACLE doesn't have the heft of the ASH-1, it can still chop pretty decently, and it does a lot of other things more efficiently. If you're gonna be chopping, take the ASH, otherwise take one of your Badgers and let it work for you. That LE is lovely, but since you have 2 other CG's. you may want to keep the LE minty. Maybe you can add that one to the display of your Ergo, to show how the Badger evolved, as well as how while your collection has also evolved, the Badger is still a central piece of it.
