I had a rift and it just didn't work for me.

What is it with this forum and the rift? Is it really that awesome of a knife?

Yes. If it weren't for me it probably wouldn't be talked about that much. For me it is the perfect knife. If you don't like it then pass on it. It has a lot of positive traits that I like.

Lots of knives get tons of positive talk, just look at the Sebenza. What do you want to know about it? Why don't you like the blade? If you look at the cutting edge it is a very normal shape. The spine is a little different but it just gives it character and I think it looks great.

Include an Ares, a Switchback, and a H&K 14205 and then your collection is perfect :D

But seriously, that is a very respectable group of Benchmades you got there.

Very cool collection! I just have two and they are both my fave models, the HK14205 and my new all time preferred BM which is the Mini Hardtail folder. Luv that one a lot!

I see you have a 3550bk, I have had two with satin blades, a mini grip, grip as well, good solid line up, try out a PE 720 or 721 if you can, great knives.

I don't doubt that it is a great knife, it's just that sometimes on forums you see a couple (usually more senior) members post a positive review of a knife(or whatever), or give it positive feedback, and then a large group of the forums regulars follow suit and rant and rave about the knife(or whatever product) when they have never actually used it.

The three on the right appeal to me too. What are the second and third from the right?

Guys, I have owned most of the benchmades including the 710 and 720. I liked everything about the 710 except the recurve blade. These have just turned out to be my favorites. The 3rd one from the right is the 913 assisted opening stryker. The 2nd one from the right is the assisted opening barage 580. I have a couple of them and they become my edc's. They open with a bang and I like the blade shape.:)

Hi W -

I have the Mel Pardue mini-grip and I really like it - smooth and a nice size for your pocket.

Very nice collection there! Thank you for the pictures.

best regards -

With the exception of the Grips, just don't care for the Grip scales, I have the others and the 806-901 variant.

As was said I'd add a 710, 14205 and a 585 mini Barrage which I like even better than the 580.

...and if you did nothing you still have a good set of tools. ;)

Hi Joe. I don't mind the grip scales being plastic but the big grip's scales will eat the pocket on your blue jeans out pronto.:)
