Tell about your favorite folding knife that you own/use. Try to make it under two bills; just for the sake of practicality. Explain why it is your favorite, what your favorite features are, and what features that you dont prefer (if any). Please share photos, stories, and any other interesting information.:)

my personal favorite is the Benchmade Griptilian. It is overall the best, and most affordable design for EDC, and heavy use. I absolutely love the axis lock, and the sealed Valox handle. 154 cm is an exelent all around stainless steal, and the design is very utilitarian oriented. personaly i would twik the handle a bit in order to fill the palm a bit better. And I would have appreciated to have the knife blue locktighted while being constructed, since I have had my clip, pivot and the handle scales loosen up after some use. Lastly, my stop pin has developed a rattle that can be temporarily remedied with some blue lube. but it works exelent and is comfortable. So just trivial things that dont make a difference.

its truly an exelent performance oriented knife and i dont go anywhere without it!

I'd say its currently my manix2 in s30v.. probably soon to be displaced by either the zt551 or my M4 millie...

I tend to carry small fixed blades anytime I may need to be rough on a knife, but on the days I take my Manix, it holds up to the abuse while still being a stellar slicer. It's a nice combo/compromise of cutting ability and stoutness. I did manage to break the tip off.. but the lock has yet to fail.

These are not my photos but they are currently the two models that i own.
if they dont load, they are the 551sbk, and 556s

My most common carry is a Buck 301 stockman.
- It's a stockman. It has three blades, each of which can be sharpened differently to address different needs. It'll do pretty much anything I need an EDC to do.
- It holds an edge well enough for everyday work.
- It's easy to resharpen.
- It's pocket friendly. It's large enough to grip, yet does not take up much room in the pocket.
- It's Knife-Challenged-Passerby friendly as well. No one cringes when I pull out a stockman.

Exelent, i love my stockmans

Favorite folder under $200? No doubt the Spyderco Sage 2 Ti. Classy looks, smooth fit, feel, finish and easily sharpens. This is the one that I just thought had the "WOW" factor the minute I took it out of the box. Not to mention it is a frame lock.

I have been carrying a Syderco Pacific Salt for not quite a year now. I love it. Very light but a good blade size and H1 steel is great for my wet BC lifestyle. Ergonomics good too. I really like the pronounced thumb ramp and jimping. Well though out design. In my opinion a bit of an improvement over it's daddy the Endura.

i think im going to love my spyderco Stretch zdp/blue. just the right size and about the same weight as my endura, light is good. the stretch is about what id consider a limit on what ill spend on a folder/ which is probubly more than many would spend on 3 folders. not shure i want to use it as a edc though. i prefer a knife thats a little shorter blade and lets face it i dont want to tear up a $100 knife on misc tasks at work. ill most likely carry the spyderco persistance as a edc. just love the blade shape and feel in the hand is perfect. and you have to work it pretty hard to dull it. have quite a few others that i like to carry now and then so whatever it is im always happy with the one i have at the moment.
