Over the year as I have continued to studied edged tools.
By far my favorite are ethnic blades with curves.

I have some experience with Japanese and chinese blades. BUt the Khukuri form has always caught my attention.

The one that I have always dreamed about is on page 194 of the book "Swords and Hilt Weapons" published Barnes and Noble.
This one is a beauty. It inspires me everytime I see it.
I never knew how to describe it. Now I know it is Dui Chirra with Ivory handle.

My memebership has not changed yet...paid but not changed so I can't post pics. If anybody doesn't have this book...e-mail me and I will send a pic.

Sweet!!:D Sort of a Berk special with a Garud handle. Sounds like a great project.;)

Boone trading company has eagle heads carved from Oosik or Ivory that would fit a dui chirra like that.

Hmmn... that was a really sadistic thing to say - get a Berk Special and add carved ivory handle. Fairly simple to do but probably talking $500+ even doing it yourself.

Chalk it up to the troll tortures I've been conducting to exorcise the forum lately.

Got the book, shane, and it is by far my fave as well. It made me want some HI dui chirras, thats fer sher.

I'd buy one if they made one, even with wood handles it would be sweet.
