I posted in the Wilderness and Survival Skills section of this forum that if anyone had a Dave Beck WSK Tracker, please post your PICS. No one has, so I'll go first. I hope you Beck knife lovers enjoy......

Do you use it? How does it perform? I have never owned one, but I am curious because a have read some mixed reviews of this style knife.

Hello. No. Its just an eye candy piece for me. I know that Dave Beck, through trial and error, and with the help of all sorts of people in the field, came to the design that the knife is today. So I would imagine that the knife was designed with real world survival issues in mind.

I love the grind on it. I'd really like to see a longer blade with the handle closest section elongated.

Ever since I watched the movie, "The Hunted" I have been so fixated on this style blade. Its a great movie too BTW.

Thats what did it for me. When you think about it, it would make a better knife than a hollow handle knife (no offense to hollow handle nuts out there). This is a knife that is much bigger in your hand, than the pictures may suggest.

some of the features on that knife have to be used to be fully appreciated. very purpose built for survival in the woods, and does jobs one commonly expects to use other tools to do. 'one knife'...to stay alive, given the surroundings match it's purpose.

i highly approve of knives with a work ethic, they're so much easier to justify to one's wife... ;)
