If you guys didn't know, I love my RAT knives.

These 4 are the ones I use the most and finally, they all have matching pants. I make alot of sheaths but most of the time I just end up with one I screw up as my personal sheath.

But today I took some time out and wasted some materials on myself. Made the sheath for the 4 and the 6 to match my screwup RC-3 sheath and my Izula sheath.

Also took me a long time and alot of trading to get the canvas micarta for all of them.

All my favorites are now in the same color combo with functional sheaths.:D

Great work! Love the canvas micarta. BTW how long did it take you to learn the skill of kydex molding, yours sir are quite great examples.

Thanks guys!

I've been screwing around with kydex for about 4 or 5 years but I've been working with thermoform plastics for about 11.

Also grew up around fine woodworking and furniture building so I'm pretty comfortable around powertools.

Nice shotgunner. I was just talking last night about how I'd like to see some more pics of your work. As soon as I get all my sheath needs figured out, I'll have to get ahold of you. Is it doable to do a sheath that can be worn on the belt with the paracord system RAT uses for a bigger knife like the RC-6?

shotty your rp knife looks soooo freaking sweet!! im kicking myself for not getting one and then putting the different grip on it! fantastic idea:D

I've done them before but they end up pretty bulky. If thats what you want it can be done.

how did you take the finish off of your Izula. I'd like to do the same

Chemical stripper in a ziploc with the knife for a few hours then just scrape it off.

I ended up painting it with some wheel paint due to constant rusting. (I work with alot of corrosive chemicals.)

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.............

(Your not supposed to tell anyone it's a RP knife.):D

Nice set Shotgunner. I know what you mean about keeping the screw ups as personal sheaths. Someday I'll make a perfect one for my Izula. For now the "screw up" is working pretty darn good though.

And who says guys don't have any fashion sense :D

Coyote brown is such an awesome color!

Really nice looking family you have there. I might be knocking on your email door for some sheaths soon. Quality work!

Great sheaths Shotgunner. Perfect design and color. Nice move on the canvas micarta swap too. ;)
