Went outside for a bit and saw a USPS Box on my patio table on the front porch. Here's what was in it.

This came in faster than I expected it to!

The BK17 puts the sizzzzzzzzle in ''sexxxxxxxxxy''!

I am astounded by how much I love this thing, it's lying on the desk by my keyboard now, I can't hardly be away from it LOL

Nice score, watcha planning on doin to it/with it?

looks great! I really want one of these tweeners to go with my 7 and 14. I like them all and will probably eventually get them all, just can't decide which to buy first haha, I love this forum, but coming on here is like enabling a crack addiction!

Hi; how is the thickness at the spine. how useful is the tiny little choil . Has anyone filed it off to make it a bit more generous.

P.S: Lovely blade...

Regards
Moin.

I though about ESEE-fying a BK-16 by adding a choil, making the blade into an ESEE shaped drop point and adding some linen micarta with green liners but that fell though, since for the choil you'd need a decent sized area and that'd have to be cut into the guard and also some of the blade...Not something I wanna do.

I know what you mean, given the size of the blade... Have people started modding the Bk17 yet :)

You've got quite a nice collection going there BFE.
All great looking blades!
Congrats on the new 17!
btw...what part of the Great Pacific Northwest are you in?

Thanks! I'm here in King County the Covington/Kent/Maple Valley area and I work up in the Emerald City.

If your definition of modding includes convexing, stripping, Cliching, buying new scales and sheaths then yes, people have begun to mod these.

very nice lineup. i think it's been a while since i've seen a family pic with no BK2 in it.

That collection of yours covers a lot of bases, BFE. Excellent. I too am surprised you haven't got a BK-2 yet. That one of the first Beckers everyone buys, ya rebel. :D You're going against the crowd, man. Go ahead, give in to peer pressure and pull the trigger on a 2. You won't be sorry.

Thanks. The Becker BK-2 Companion is not on my Becker want list. I tend to pass that one over. Unless of course, there's compelling reason for me to get one.

Compelling reason!? REASON!???? We are the 'Heads...we dont NEED no stinkin reason!

Besides, ya never know when ya might need to cut apart a Buick to save a bunch of hot chicks who would be very very VERY ''grateful''. If that aint enuff reason for ya then I'm at a loss LOL

Yeah, I'm another that doesn't really have the BK2 on my want list. The BK17 and BK5, however, are going to be my next couple of purchases.

Okay, were I to get the Becker BK-2 Companion knife, how long does it take to "modify" it to a clip-point similar to the BK-7 | BK-9 | BK-17? How much work is involved doing it freehand? Not that I know anything, just thinking out loud and curious that's all.
