My "Fifty is Nifty" Blade haul.

When I saw, months ago, that Blade would fall on the weekend of my 50th birthday, I knew I had to go for my first time, and experience the Trough.

A little scary when it's all laid out......

On the left are some scabbards and lanyards, a Tom Krein TK-11, and a Daniel Koster TUSK necker with a unique black and copper coating. Below my new inducted Rat hat ( thanks Eric :thumbup: ) is the new SR Ratmandu, a custom SFNO, and a custom Game Warden in Curly Maple. On the right are a few 2007 Special Editions, an older James Crowell camp/cutting knife, and a rayskin wallet.

oh.... that napkin under the Warden, with some scribbles on it......

Well, not the whole set, but best in the set.
 
For the first time it looks like you really oink'ed into the trough very well. Congrats on the great score!!:thumbup:
 
Not to go O.T., but since it's in your pic, what's your opinion of the new coating Dan Koster is putting on the T.U.S.K.? What did you think of the WSK in person? Are you going to put slabs on that tusk?

So what's the specs on that SH 1 SE? We know it's 6", but what's the thickness?
 
Congrats Guy! What a way to spend your 50th, huh? I am sick with envy over that custom SFNO, that thing stops my heart every time I see it. Well, it couldn't have gone to a nicer person. As I said, Congratulations, nice haul!

The coating is what sold it. Very cool looking, deeply textured. He claims it will have great wear. The WSK was interesting, his improvements seem to make sense, but that blade never did it for me.

Oh yeah... that little pink trapper your daughter scored was as sweet as she was.
 
Looks like you have the holy grail of SFNOs there....there are many jealous people. Nice haul.

Believe me, Guy was right up front with the Big Hogs! His haul is absolutely awesome.

You have to hold his custom SFNO to really appreciate it.

I bow in his specific direction!:cool:
