Yesterday I purchased my first Buck 110 in 34+ years.
I had purchased one way back then, but it grew feet and walked away after only a couple days. I hadn't even used it enough to decide if I liked it.

So I picked up a new one.
Here are my observations.
Fit and finish, very good. It has no blade movement in any direction when locked up.
It does have some backspring gap, but so do my Bokers and others.
This knife came very sharp! Good job Buck! I have received several other folding hunters recently. Two Case knives, and two Bokers, all of which requires some sharpening.

I only have one other lockback. A Case xx changer. The Buck 110's lock actuates much smoother. Overall action is smoother as well.

Now about the sheath. I have read several negative comments regarding it. Like others I wish it was US made. However, you Buck owners don't know how good you have it!

I have a Case folding hunter. The sheath that came with it I had to shrink. Even after that I have to insert a portable strop behind the knife, even then it is still loose! The same with the Case xx changer sheath, and with my old Schrade Walden sheath. Amazingly the Buck 110 sheath actually fits the knife properly!
Thank you Buck!!!

I am very pleased overall! Next month I'll likely purchase a 5160 drop point!

Good for You!! Glad you came back to Buck...The sheaths are made in the US, now. As soon as everyone's back stock is gone you'll see more and more of the USA made. They're embossed on the back with the flag....

The Mexico sheaths are great quality for what you are paying. I even like the nylon sheaths that come with some 110's–as it allows me to carry horizontally on a belt and increases comfort level around the waist line. From what I have been hearing Buck is trying to move sheath production completely to the USA.

They have, it's just the distributors back stock has the mex sheaths....All USA now....

Congrats on the new 110, I love mine for sure.

And it's good to hear about the sheaths, the made in Mexico sheath mine came in is perfectly well made but of course I'd love if it said MADE IN USA on it.

I am glad to hear that news on the sheaths!
When I order my next it'll probably come with one of the new ones.

I'm really liking the 110!

Welcome back to the 110 fold.
I predict two things:

1) You'll absolutely love the 110, and will wonder why you waited 34 years to replace the one that grew legs.

2) This 110 and the 5160 drop point you plan on getting will not be the only Buck 110's you will get and use.

:)

Fine choice. What kind of 110 did you get, steel/handle/bolsters etc. Can you post a picture :)

Try a 112 too..Finger grooved drop point 112's fit avarage sized hands very, very well..

I just purchased the 420HC, brad and synonymous standard model....this time.

I have liked at the 112's but they are a bit small for my xxl hands.

I agree with the above poster...this one won't be my last.

Thinking of either a 110 pro, or a drop point next month.

Its so nice to see fellow Buck supporters with the same condition/illness as mine.
I found a 110 in a knife lot and had the buck fever eversince.
Have 3 currently with 4 on route to SA.
2 of mine will get a giraffe bone handle somewhere this week.
I will post the pics if some wants to see.
Regards
Jannie
