Hi all, after browsing this traditional folder for a while, it was obvious that I simply HAD to try Great Eastern Cutlery.
So, my first two GEC knives arrived this week and while I haven't really used them yet, I can already say that the quality perception is very good indeed.
I just made a few pictures. One is the Tidioute SARPNT Pioneer with reptile bone handle and a carbon steel blade. It's rather big for EDC to be honest, but a good classic working folder. The other one is a midsized trapper with black micarta handles, 2 steel bolsters and 440C blades. This is truly a little gem, perfect for EDC.
Both are "soulful" knives. I expect to make a video clip about them, once I know them better, and here are a few pics:
(My trapper-like knives, from top to bottom a German Eye, a Rough Rider, the GEC, and an elegant Magnum with abalone inlays.)
