And it is amazing! There is absolutely zero blade play. I cleaned it and added some fresh grease. It is a bit stiffer than my 21 but I'm sure it will be really smooth after some use.

Nice! After hearing about all of the problems with the model 31 it is nice to hear about one built well.

Congratulations on a beautiful Sebenza 31! I have three that are all rock solid.

Gorgeous CRK, all you need now is one in boomerang Damascus and natural micarta :p

OP, is yours a large? From what I understand, most of the 31s with lock rock/lock flex are smalls.

Thank you. And no no no no...:eek::eek:

Nyala, 21 and 31 are good for now. All black micarta. I'm really trying my best not to buy an Inkosi though :D

This is large.

I have to admit that I was a bit afraid of getting a bad copy because nowadays it takes a really long time to get something sent between the USA and the EU. This knife was sent before my second son was born and he was over 5 weeks old when I finally got the knife.

One month of use and the knife operates really smoothly. It was stiff at first but now the blade even drops freely when you hold the lock bar off the blade. The lock bar on my 31 was way stiffer out of the box than on my 21.

All in all there is not a huge difference between 21 and 31 but I slightly prefer how it feels to open and close the 31. The motion just feels more solid and constant. Maybe it is the bigger ceramic ball. The canted clip is Ok but not a big deal for me. I'm happy to have them both.

It took a weekend for mine to break in, there's nothing I like better about my 21 except the blade shape.
