Hi all.
I was fortunate enough to receive a good deal on the exchange on an AA Forge Bushcrafter (thanks Tahts!). I could not stop looking at the beautiful osage handle and i had been wanting to try a custom scandi knife. plus, i knew the good rep of Adam's knives.

I couldn't be happier with this knife. as mentioned, it's a gorgeous knife. but, it's more than that. it just feels right in my hand.

This is the sharpest knife i have owned. and, the edge is very easy to maintain. i appreciate that. i know this is a scandi knife, but i have been using it a bit in the kitchen. i couldn't help myself. cutting tomatoes and potatoes, well....i would put this knife up against just about any knife. i was pleasantly surprised. tonight is the first night i have tried it on chicken. it worked well. i also used it on a couple squirrels last weekend.

Adam, this knife is really great. i just had to post. the craftsmanship is top-notch. and, the function is even better. thanks very much.

Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics....

Beautiful! I have been watching Adams work for a while and I keep drooling over his bushcrafters!!

Thank you TPVT for the post! I'm glad to see you like it!

Thank you guys for all the kind words!

This thread made me do it! You all need to stop!
I can't wait to get mine soon.

Yeah...I'm in line for an XL too. This will be my first of Adam's knives and the only scandi grind that I plan to keep. From what I've seen and read, it will be an Excellent fit in the current line-up of exceptional custom makers of elegant/functional/comfortable knives for guys with big paws (ie: Nick Allen/Chris Bowden/Coty Handley/Jared Oeser)!!! Adam's friendly attitude and excellent communication was as good as the gentlemen listed and better than many I've corresponded with. That attitude and the willingness to build unique knives to the customer's requests goes a LONG way in the knife buying experience. That and hearing of other satisfied customers.

Like I said above... "Enablers"!!!

:D

Sweet TPVT. Did you see anything?

I had my doe tag for this WMU. And, i trailed a couple doe for a little bit...and thennn jumped them. spent the rest of the day tracking them...up and down some gnarly terrain, but i never caught back up to them. bummer.

hard to get a feel for the pitch here, but it was steep. many boulders. many down trees. and snow. i only fell 3 times though! :D
