If any of you were wondering who got the,"25 inch 63 ounce Chiruawa Ang Khola by Sgt. Khadka. Walnut wood handle. All fittings are white metal. Sgt. Khadka's superb efforts. I am offering this rig at $250 which includes a surprise gift."

Well it ended up in Louisiana. First impression was that my Post man must hate me because this box weighed about 10lbs! It also had an AK for 6/1 DOTD and the surprise gift...a wee little Khukri.

I will get some pictures up in the next few days as I have to return to work tomorrow after getting in late tonight from Blade....That was an experience, let me tell you.

These are my 2nd and 3rd purchase from HI...my 1st was a Bolo that I need to send in for some handle rework and need something to keep my hands occupied while it is away:(

Anyway......pictures will soon be up!

Thanks for the great product!!!!

I can't even imagine.

The stuff of legend...The Hero slicing his way through the evil creations of Dr. Squamushkiluk, who are seeking the heroine's head for the final ingredient of the weapon that will enslave the earth!!!!

OK, maybe not.

But a BIG WOW!!!

Here is the MONSTER!!!

Next to a Swamp Rat Rat Daddy...their Largest Knife! It looks like a folder compared to this AK!

Nice, nice, NICE.

Sgt. Khadka makes the best, especially that model/size/class.

Tx for px.

Nice pictures, thank you

I finally took it out today and the trees were scared! 4" diameter oak nearly one swipe...I just need to work on my technique. I was thinking of comparing it to my other choppers, but that wouldn't be fair....this beast is a in a full on Axe class and nothing else can compare to it. It is like a chain saw!

But I have a few questions...what is the center ring in the handle, does it serve a purpose? It chewed my hand something awful......

I have read the safety post and a few others but there is DAYS of reading there and can't find an answer.

You really think it's fair to compare with the Rat Puppy? ;)

The center ring helps with grip and knife retention, sort of like the Nepali version of a sub hilt. I let it sit between two of my fingers (middle/ring or ring/pinkie depending on handle length). You can remove it pretty easily - a flat file works well without too much effort. However, I'd play with it a few more times before making a decision. Difficult to put back on once you take it off.

Don't be afraid to sand down any rough edges on the ring or pommel if you have to. My Khadka Samsher was hard on my hands at first too, but a little work on a belt sander and files and hammering the butt plate down and I'm good to go.

I have to get some post op pictures up.......I took it off, smoothed out the handle pins and need to work on the pommel now.
