My first asymmetrical edge Busse...BAIII pic

I've got 2 DABA's this month and just got this BAIII Saturday.

If someone can help on this... Did all the black/snakes have the asymmetrical edge? My DABA's have the plain edge.

I would be curious as to which of the ABAs had asymmetrical edges too. My ABA (LE???) does not have an asymmetrical edge.
 
I cannot answer your question, but that is a gorgeous knife.

Where the heck are you guys coming up with these BAIII??? Is there like a secret badger hole that no one has told me about??? :confused:


Oh and BTW....nice badger!:cool: Really dig the roped snakeskin micarta. And, as far as I know Jerry did all the thicker knives with an asymmetrical edge, at least since around 2000...yeah I think that's when he started the process as a regular production procedure. I believe you'll find the full comment on Bad Mojo.
 
I've never seen an Asymmetrical edge on a ABA. Not sure if the blade is thick enough.

BA-E's and BA III's are all I've seen.

My clip point ABA has a factory zero edge :cool:, the DABA has a symmetric edge.

Clearly then, this one's a dud. Because I'm a easy-going guy though, I could incorporate it into my collection, and it wouldn't bother me a bit.

I would think that is the reason as well...the Snake BAIII is much thicker than my DABA's at .150.
I should have thought of that:o


Soltice- I will go check it out,thanks. No badger hole, I really just started looking Harder after looking for so long. Can't find a ABALE though.

I only have the two DABA's and this BAIII. What I really want to know is how am I going to get an ABALE???

On two of them I just looked way back in the trade section and saw where one had no offers, so I made one. The other was looking for a BM800 which I had in safe and we worked out a trade.

yeah, i'm looking to get an aba3 now... so if anyone wants to check out my wtb post with one of their daba3s...
