Been playing with leather for a few months and decided to try my first possibles pouch. Has a pocket on the inside of the front and the back. I am pleased, however I know it is pretty pitiful compared to many that I see. Will keep working :D:D

Roughly 9" X 9" X 2". Now the fun part is to start to fill it with old timey cool stuff :D

Anyone care to post any possibles pictures, and or contents? Looking to start with one of these Hudson Bay Tinder tins;

Anyway, looking for ideas of what folks keep in theirs.

Doc,

Great job!! Love the stitching and the worksmanship you put into this. Enjoy filling it.

looks plenty good to me :) are you going for a period affair or something more modern? regardless- I'd try and cover as many bases as possible- reliable fire starting, cordage, small compass, signaling, water treatment, few first aid bits, small repair kit, lighting (if not a period correct pouch)- the usual characters :D

This is a map case that the talented Pipman just finished; I’m going to use it to carry a few essentials like my SAS survival tin, maps, moleskin and pen, the occasional riffle magazine, lighter etc.

I’m really blown away by how it turned out. Does buckles he put on the bag are almost a 100 years old. Built to last a few lifetimes.

Nice old buckles Edwood! Not to mention the pouch. I scavenge buckles from every old piece of harness work I can find.

DocGp that is a very credible first attempt. Very good stitching work.
