Here's a Schrade Sharpfinger I just finished cord wrapping. I think the color actually fits. It reminds me of the color of the Delrin handles. What do you think?

Stormdrane,

Surprisingly, yes it stays in place. the only problem is that the knot on the other side is a little larger than I wanted, but it's not too big of a deal. Also, the ridge is probably on the wrong side of the handle since I'm primarily a righty, but since I plan on doing it again once I get some paracord, it doesn't matter too much.

I forgot to mention that the edge has seen an extensive reprofile, and is now scary sharp. It's a shame I never bought one with an edge like this.

If it's paracord, just remove an inch or so of the inner strands from the end with the knot, that should help make it smaller.

"Old shoelace". That's good. That's the sort of thing I do.

I've been thinking of trying that myself on one of my Sharpfingers.
Chris: Was it hard getting the delrin scales off?

It wasn't too difficult Marty. I just used a cordless drill. Since I wasn't planning on saving the scales, I just drilled a couple of holes that were kind of on the rivet, and the scales. Once I had an area big enough to fit the tip of a screwdriver, I pried the tops of the rivets off. Once the one side was off, just tap the rivets on the other side through. Just make sure the knife is secure when you're drilling, or it'll take off like a tornado...like I almost found out.

Thanks for the compliments btw.

It\s interesting, how handle material changed impression from a knife. With scales it looked like harmless fising accesory. Now it looks as a especilally wicked weapon for some spooky MA...
