Well finally I came through!I was pretty cocky with my first post on this subject:

Then disaster struck and I was humbled by the fire gods:

I think I over heated the blade,I heated it in broad daylight, man,I`m not doing that again.I had my trusty magnet on a stick but I thought I could judge the color and quench it when it was just right.......WRONG.
I finally triumphed......
Instead of using the furnace cement to give it a wavy temperline,I opted to edge quench it this time.I do believe I see a double temperline,I will start hand rubbing the blade out tomorrow,it`s too late tonight but I just thought I`d share my joy with you guys.
Thanks for all the help you`ve given me.
