Just wanted to share:D

I made it with a thumb assisted ejector on the sheath and an index finger assisted "arm" to help sheath the knife or re-sheath if i begin to draw in pocket and decide I don't need to. It also forms nicely to my grip.

First the final result (2nd attempt)

Now the original bulky sheath, the 1st attempt, and the 2nd attempt (final)

Great work for starting. I love to see pictures of progress. I would love to watch a step by step so I can try some time.
Keep up the good work. I wish I had that skill to make them for my knife.

thanks for the positive feedback!

Bella, not too "hard" but it takes time. So if you can dedicate sometime you'll be good... If you can make blades, you can make kydex sheaths;) I plan on making my own blade then sending it to heat treat for my next project.

general tools needed:
heat gun (or super crazy hot hair blower lol), dremel, tape, pencil, quick clamps, two boards, sand paper (wet sand at the end)

kydex specialty tools needed:
kydex, rivet setter and anvil, rivets, special kydex foam (I hear you can use garden knee matt foam)

tips:
If you don't want to fabricate a foam press, just ask someone to help you quick clamp the boards together before the kydex starts to cool.... that was the hardest part for me.
Size out the rivets to the type of clips and attachments you want to use
