My first attempt at sheath making

I wanted a new sheath for my Mora 780. This was my first attempt. LOL I stitched the blade section too tight and every time I put the blade in it would cut the threads LOL... oops.

:) not a pro job by any means... but it sure works well.

It looks better than the first one I ever made. Next time you might consider cutting a welt and stitching it in there to prevent the edge from touching the threads. It's a little more work but I think you'll like the results.
 
I like it. The only thing I'd do is add a little pouch (for a firesteel or sharpening stone) to the flat area next to the blade.

Seriously. :) I have never done any leather work at all.

Not Bad Jeff, I have yet to make my first sheath. I'll be very happy if it comes out like yours:thumbup:
