:thumbup: Very Nice!!! I love how this one came together. To me it has a somewhat classic design w/a modern spin on it. Very well done.

Thanks alot for showing this.

I totally want to make an axe now :)

Quick question, why use 440c if you are going to paint it black anyway?

That is awesome! Question, when you do the stacked leather, do you glue up all the layers?

that is SO COOL!:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

trentinistefano,

Love this tutorial, really beautiful and gracefully flowing axe you made there. Checked out your website and saw all of your knives.....you are truly an artist! thanks for posting:thumbup:

I would be glad if you would try to make one! Thank you very much Sparljo! Because I have not painted anything! The blade and the handle, are personally tempered; the black, it is the layer of oxide what it is formed during the tempering (35 very hard microns). The 440C hardened and twice tempred, is a good handle (for me) and the 420HC is a good steel but not too much hard (it bears better the bumps, the hits on the wood, and it is more easily riaffilabile) Cordially, Stefano :)
