Hello folks.
That is my first knife made on Anerican soil . "My First American Baby". We actualy moved back in US just in June and I do not have a permanent job. I hate to do nothing so I got some belt grinder, few files and other small stuff and started knifemaking again after many years.

Here is my baby.

Blade is 7 1/2" of A2 steel, 1/4" thick, flat ground. Heat treated by Paul Bos so must be good.

Handle - walnut. "Bolster"- silver nickel though I wouldn't call it bolster... Butt nut is actually decorative made from SS. The real one is hidden under it. Both are screwed on the treaded tang.
The sheath is leather, handsawn, dyed and finished with carnauba wax. It has hidden lock to keep knife in the sheath.
The blade is etched, bolster is engraved and selectively blackend, butt nut is etched and engraved over.

I don't know if I am going to sell it. It is first one. I am not completely happy with how it came out. And I really do not know how much to ask... So if anyone has an advice - welcome. Here or E-mail would do.

I'll try to attach pictures. Sorry for possible problems.
Dmitry.

Excellent work! That is a fantastic piece. You say you're not quite happy with it, I say I'd be happy if anything I make could be half as nice.

Welcome!

Thats is an amazing knife! I have nothing but respect for Paul Bos too. Welcome back to the USA

Dmitry,
If you keep making (and selling) knives like that, you won't have to worry about finding a permanent job. It just found you!
