Hi,

New to this area of the forums. I just got a BM 42 in a trade. It was a big jump for me, but I'm glad I made it. I have been carrying it now for 3 days, and love it. I'm definately gonna hold onto this knife. Now I want a Blue one. I'm curious though. I was attempting to take the pins out when I realized I couldn't get them out. Any advise on how to remove them? I don't need to take the handles off, but I love to take all my knives apart at least one time.

Check out Gollnick’s article about disassembling the 42, it is very informative:

As we have discussed in previous threads, it really depends on the knife whether or not it will be easy to get the pins out. I have had no trouble with mine, but some people can’t seem to get theirs out with a sledgehammer.
