I finally got a mint Basic 7 with the original box and sheath. I caught it at the end of its' auction on ebay and can't wait for it to get here. My meager group of Busse Blades is slowly growing.

Congrats on the Basic 7 grab. You have learned well, Oinkhopper!

The BB7 is a great knife IMHO. It's probably still my favorite Busse, even after all these years and numerous model releases, followed closely by his bigger brother, the Niner (Basic 9).

I've yet to handle any of the Basic series. They look pretty interesting. Good snag! Will it be a user?

Congrats on snagging that one. I think a lot of people prefer those handles as users because they absorb the shock.

Thanks for the posts - I just really got into collecting Busse's only about three months ago. It was my loss not to have discovered them long before that. I don't think I'm going to use this one as I have another blade that would fullfil its' function and and a brand new FSH that I now use as my chopper when I go out 4 wheelin. I'm going to try to get my hands on the other basics now if I can find them at a reasonable (definitely a relative term) price out there, and at the moment I am saving up my war chest for the release of the FBM.

Congrats on the Basic. I hear good things about the handle. Got the chance to hold a knife, from the other company, which has a similar handle on it. Really liked the feel of it. I'm not much for knives with fully encased handles but the feel of this material has me questioning whether it's time to step up and purchase one. We'll see. There's still some INFI that needs to be purchased!

Stay Strong & No Regrets!
Brian
