Having just purchased a my first Becker product, the C/U 7, I have been busily reading older threads to learn what I could about the experience of others with this knife. One item frequently referred to is the altoids tin. What the heck is an altoids tin? It sounds like a metal body part.

Thanks in advance for the info.

Willie Boy,

The Altoids tin is a light gauge hinged metal tin which normally contains Altoid mints. The tin measures something like 2 inches by 3 inches and maybe a little over 1/2 inch deep. Great little containers for small survival kits etc. The mints are not bad either...

Let us know how your new Becker performs...its on my want list.

Cheers,
Gord

Well now I know I'm not alone. Liking Camiilus products is something I share with everyone here, but I thought I was the only one that didn't know what an Altoids was. I must admit that I had to ask Will the last time he was in the studio. Talk about customer service, I even talked him out of the mints!
