My first Becker...

I made the stroll up to Grand Prairie Knives in Troy, IL. Walked out with my first Becker knife, a BK-9. I love how this beast feels in my hand. I had a hard time not chopping the first tree I saw.

It is a well balanced knife with the heft, I believe, to handle chopping and batoning well. I love the handle slabs. They are very comfortable. I was pleased with the sharpness out of the box. It was sharper than I was expecting for such a hunk of steel. The finish of this product is very high. It was very well made. An outstanding deal for the price. I like the freebee little BK-13.

Thank you Mr. Becker. I'll be acquiring the full line of your knives over the coming months.

Where are you from? I bought my BK11 from Grand Praire Knives last week. I could not agree with you more with its finish,quality, and value. I think the BK9 will be my next purchase. That store is fun to browse and see and handle all the cool knives everyone is always talking about on here.

Pics, pics, pics!

I need to get a Bk9. And a necker. And a companion. They latter-most is really intersting, but I'd want to handle one first. I'm hoping that Sportsmans Warehouse starts carrying the becker line, since they carry kabar's right now.

I sold BK7s at Sportsmans warehouse at one time (before camillus went out). We always had lots of KA Bars. I'm sure they'll get the new Beckers.

I live in St. Louis City and it is about a 20 minute drive out to Troy from me. I had seen the great price Grand Praire had on the Neckers and was planning on buying one as well Saturday, but they sold out their stock of 1095s before I had a chance to make the trip.
 
hmm., I live about 1hr from GP knives.., been there a couple of times, nice guys BTW.

Just got my first Becker(a necker) a couple days ago and I love it! Think I'll have to give the BK9 a close look, been really eyeballing the Companion too.

I can see this becoming another addiction to go along with my Rat Cutlery and Kershaw addictions!!! lol
