My first Benchmade, a brand new 770 cf!

Hi!

I am new to this forum, and a novice knife collector. I just bought my first Benchmade, a NOS/NIB 770 carbon fibre combo blade 684/1000, which I was lucky to find at a local shop. I got the knife yesterday, so I haven't carried or used it yet.

I am interested in the history of this model, when was it made?

They happen to have several discontinued models: 770 cf with straight black blade, 773 straight blade, 773 straight black blade, Leopard Cub 612, and Apparition 672. Might do some additional shopping...

Nice score! If memory serves me, I pretty sure the 770 CF hit the shelves in 2000.

Looks like your local shop has a bunch of the older classic Benchmade's on hand. Really nice find if you like the older BM models. They are getting harder and harder to find these day's.
