Today I recieved my first benchmade from the mail which I had been eyeballing for the past few weeks. I purchased the 275 adamas tan folder, what influenced me in this decision is back about three years ago before I was on the forums I had a friend who has the same folder and before then I never heard of benchmade, chris reeve, zt, strider or any other high end production folder besides spyderco, and as soon as he showed me his knife I fell in love with it but I was afraid to spend that kind of money on a knife but im glad I took that step and bought the 275 and im happy with my purchase.

Benchmade makes some fine knives, I have a number of them in my EDC rotation. Some of my favorites in current production are the 581 Barrage and 890 Torrent. I also like the 730 Ares and 913 Stryker. I have some other brands and carry them regularly too, but I won't give up my Benchmades.

I have liked the looks of the 275 Adamas but I think it might be a little bit large for what I need.

i wasn't expecting tolkien worthy or any thing but sorry that wasn't much of a story. But nice pick its always nice to get a knife you've wanted for a decent amount of time.

Congrats on the new steel! I am always happy when I hear someone's story, especially when it involves them getting their hands on a knife that they have wanted for awhile. Congrats again.

You'll won't stop with only one I can promise you that, especially if you on here regularly. Hahaha. Benchmade 746 aka mini onslaught was what started my current love for fine cutlery. So starting with a knife as fine as a Benchmade is certainly a right step in the right direction.
