I was at the local B&M shop looking to spend some birthday money (I know I can get 'em cheaper online but I like to handle them first). I almost brought home a Heat but when the guy switched the clip over for lefty carry the clip screws blocked the blade from opening all the way. Bummer because I really like Mr. Ralph's design. I also fondled a Grip', a Flash, a Native III and a D.O.G. Then I asked to see the old liner lock AFCK (left handed model). Wow. I would have preferred plain edge instead of partially serrated but the whole thing was so slick I took it home anyway. Light, sharp, good ergos, solid lock-up, grippy G-10. I think I finally understand why everybody loves that little butterfly.

Happy Birthday to me

There's another screw that is used on the left side clip. People use the right side spring as an assisted opener block out.
Hope youe enjoy the 800 AFCK (is it D2, M2 or ATS34?)

BenchMades are Boss!!!....errrr....Phat!!!

Hahaha.
Great selection.
I really love em all.

the entire AFCK line is excellent imho, no matter if liner/axis lock, both are good, the axis AFCK is one of the very best production folders around imho,

I'm up to 5 now, 4 of which are Grips! I got my first mini in 440C, found the Cabelas full size in D2, got another full size in S30V and just picked up my new favorite EDC, a mini grip in D2. Oh, and I have a Benchmite for my gent's knife. The next will be....To be decided.

I can't stop playing with it. It's surprisingly light, hardly notice it in pocket. And I love how the G-10 is finished, lotsa grip. Maybe not so office friendly but I have a SAK for that. If I was right handed I might have checked out the Millie, as well, but I don't feel like I had to settle for second best.
