All of you know, I always say I like my beckers black, and I still do.

But I thought I might give this patina thing a try.

These are the results.

I like it.

Great job!

Congrats, and let us know how you like it. I sanded down the majority of the blade on mine, but left the saber ground part with the coating on. I hear with the coating off, it will baton much easier. I just haven't had a chance to test out that rumor yet.

Love the look, I'd never even thought about using a brush to do that.

Very cool......now it looks like a weekend of stripping and patinaing........is that a word? lol

You have inspired me...Thanks Mike

Great job brother. Have a strip job in mind for my 2 as well.

It's good to have some variety. Great job TB! Looks like a combo from back in Trade's days of hunting buffalo in Barlow.

That...is just plain awesome.

Thanks Trade.

I used the brush for a even coat of mustard.

Sharpened rocks back then.

Where's my Grey Poupon?

I saw your post and thought, why not.

That's a cool effect. I like patinas cuz you can change them when you get bored with it. I like doing very light swirls. Almost as if you're just smearing the stuff around. No in process pics but this was the result. Top one.
