Robert reached out a while back after reading a couple of my trip reports on here and asked if I would be interested in writing some similar entries for their blog. I love sharing my experiences and adventures so I happily said that I would! Here is the first one, I wrote it a few weeks ago but we've both been so busy that it's only just now getting posted.

I'd love to know what you all think! Any ideas for future articles, or suggestions are welcome. As some of you saw, I went grouse hunting about a week ago, that will be my next blog post and will most likely have some video included from that day. Lots of fun stuff planned in the next couple months, mostly hunting, but some fishing, cooking, and other random outings as well!

Thanks for checking it out!

Wonderful write-up and photos Orion. You live in a bountiful outdoor environment that your blog really brings to life for those of us who have not been there. Very well done!

I am a big fan of the guard less Ladyfingers like you. With thin steel it is a great backpacking/hunting/fishing companion. Yours in Osage is a classic example.

Thanks for sharing your experiences with us.

Good stuff. So many of the photos and TRs that we see in this sub-forum are from the SE, East and Midwest. It is great to see some stuff from the REAL western outdoors :D

I will look forward to more of your posts!

Nice job Orion

I enjoyed your style of writing and the window you created into your local environment. Your Lady dressed in Osage is a looker !

DAMN fine blog post my friend. I'm jealous. I wish that was on my website!

Great job Orion! Thanks for writing that up, the pics and sharing. That Old Lady sure is nice looking.

really good article. I love reading stuff like this while highlighting a knife.

You have a couple of world-class bloggers on your site with Brian Griffin and Kevin Estella - we're just trying to keep up :)
Orion did a great job and we're looking forward to more of his contributions.

Thank you, I don't get a lot of chances to write creatively so I'm a little rusty, but I'm looking forward to doing more entries! I wish I could fly people out to experience some of the things that I get to experience, unfortunately that would be tough to do so I'll do my best to share via writing and making videos!

Thanks Andy! I appreciate the kind words! I'm working on the next entry today, I'll be sure to share once it's up!

And thank you to everyone else as well! If you guys have any ideas on stuff that you would be interested in seeing let me know! If it's something that I can make happen I will do my best.

I wish we had that kind of space for the blog on Andy's website :)

Great blog post Orion! You are pretty lucky to be so close to some amazing mountain areas. I love living on the coast but I sure wish I could go fly fishing for trout somewhere nearby.
