Well after a month and a half I finally finished this knife up. My first bowie, but certainly not the last I hope.

Specs:

1084 with clay quenched hamon
Hawaiian Mango sculpted handle
Copper and blue G-10 guard

OAL: 13.25"
Blade: 7.75"
Height: 1.5"
Width: 0.175"

I still have to work on a sheath for it, but that shouldn't take me too long.

Comments are welcomed (go easy on me) ;)

beautiful hamon man... really well done

I'm thinking the same thing, that hamon (jamon?) is stunning. Also, the hawaiian mango wood on the handle is really unique, I like the tiger stripes - does it look like that in person or is that more of a lighting thing?

Nice work Shane. Bring it to Kamloops so I can put finger prints on it:D

I might just do that Darcy. I'm working on the Sunday but I may do the marathon driving day on Saturday.

I worked on the sheath today and its close to being finished as well.

I'm riding my motorcycle down (8 hours one way)if the snow's gone by then:D

Thanks rm, I think so too.

Here's a picture of the sheath. I'm thinking I'll either add a frog, or just a retention strap.
