With 2016 being my first year as a maker, thought I would start 2017 with a big knife. Inspiration came from a Shawn McIntyre build some years ago I saw in an old magazine. It has an 11" blade from 1084, 416 guard and locking ferrule with a touch of brass and black G10 spacers. It is finished to a satin 600 grit. It also incorporates my new "coat hanger" handle design which allows you to feature file work along the top of the handle and at the back. The steel returns into the antler coronet at the bottom via a hanger which adds significant strength to the handle in the vertical plane and also protects the antler. The design also allows the bottom of the handle to remain in its natural, uncut state. Thanks for looking, criticism/comment is always welcome. Cheers, ICS
