Many years ago my dad gave me a Buck Stockman knife for my birthday. It has served me well over the years and I still have a scar on my index finger where it cut me when i was being stupid.
I decided to try to figure out when it was made when I saw the blade stamp codes sticky. I couldn't find anything definitive. It does have the unusual feature of the grooved bolsters. So I dug through many threads about Buck stockmans. Lo and behold i found my answer! It is one of the 1966 301s made by Schrade. Here's the threads that helped me ID my knife:
