I'm excited, I found a one liner, dot, 103, with hard fiber spacers, my first! Also, a 1991, 110 with white bone scales.

Neither had the correct sheath, well, I'm pretty sure the 110's sheath is not, it has a snap cover with Buck stamped three times. The 103's was repaired, poorly, and is not marked 103...and is longer than I would expect a 103 sheath to be. Maybe it is correct vintage, someone tell me more about this 103.

The 103 has not seen good sharpening care, the handle is OK. I will send it off to Leroy and see what magic he can work on it. Preston

The Buck asterik stamp is 1967. A very good find. Knives with that stamp can be found in sheaths that had NO model number on them. I have in my collection 3 Buck asterik stamps and none of them have the model number on the back of the sheath. How was your sheath repaired? DM

Excellent!

I stumbled into my first one liner this past fall, a 118. It'll be heading to Post Falls for some factory lovin' soon as I can get her packed up.

Nice find both very good looking knives. I'm a little partial to that 110 I like the white scales.

Thanks all for your replys. DM, the sheath's belt loop is gone and replaced by a piece of brown leather w/rivets, you can see a bit of it in the middle photo. I'll get a pic up later.

I did some research on the 110 and believe it to be a special project for Bass Pro Shops. What year did the snap with three Buck in a circle come? Thanks, Preston

Edit to add...Mt_Poke, that's a great 118, my favorite, first Buck knife I bought in 69-70. PS

Preston, the snap with Buck 3 times I noted appeared in 1993. (a \ stamp). Even a - stamp should be considered close enough to have a Buck 3 times snap sheath. DM

David, thanks for the information. The 110 is date coded 1991(+), so the sheath may or may not be original.

Here are the photos of the 'repair' on the 103's sheath. Think I'll look for a donor sheath and take the loop off and attach it properly to this one. Preston

Somebody didn't like it the way is was and changed it. Other than the belt loop it looks unused. DM
