My first Busse NMFSHLE (PIC HEAVY POST)

Hi all

I am a newbie who just bought my first Busse after lurking around this forum for a few months. I was trying to get myself a big blade but it really caught me by surprise when I collected it. My first impression of the NMFSHLE is – “it is huge and heavy”. I am sure it can definitely take anything I throw at it.

The knife is courtesy of fellow forumer ArmyOf1 and the sheath is the great work of Eric Lind from Mashed Cat Outfitters. I would highly recommend Eric if you are looking for a Kydex Sheath. His customer service is top notch and his work is of exceptionally high quality. Beside this NMFSHLE, he has also made me an excellent Kydex Sheath for my RMK Model #1. You can definitely trust him with your prized collections.

Nice rig ya got there! It isn't uncomfortable on the dangler? I would carry that on a pack or a over-the-shoulder harness I am designing right now... still trying to decide on leather or Tacnylon...
 
Great score of INFI and a great sheath as well. I have several Mashed Cat Danglers and even more Leather Danglers. Excellent way to carry a large knife!!! Oh and welcome to the madness...
 
Amazing knife and sheath!! So Eric makes that pouch and dangler too? I never knew that... I'm going to have to take alook at his stuff. That way I can retire the ductape and Altoids rig I'm using.

Thanks. It feels ok when I paraded it in my living room but I believe I will feel the weight if I take it along for a 15km foot hike. I have not issue with the dangler on my RMK Model #1 though but it is much lighter than the NMFSH.

Thanks. Yes, the INFI poison is really hard to fight. I have started my hunt for the the next INFI!

Eric supplied the Dangler but I shipped him the ESEE pouch to mount it on the sheath. As the sheath is wider than the pouch, he bended another piece of Kydex to mount it. It is very nicely done as you can see. Drop him an email about your requirement and I am sure Eric can help you create something really nice.

Awesome! I saw one on ebay with an ESEE 6 back and pouch from another maker. Very cool rig for the price. I was checking out his website. I'm just torn between Kydex and Leather...
