I was going through my Photobucket pics today and I found a pic of the first Busse sheath I made. Here are some pics of my first leathermaking attempts and a few of my latest. I recall getting my first side of leather and my wife asking me what in the world I was going to do with all of that leather. I wasnt too sure either and I figured the side would be a lifetime supply.

I seems a bit funny as I usually buy 8-10 sides at a time now and think nothing of it.

This last year and a half has been great. I found a bunch of great folks here and I get to contribute to the overall Busse community and at the same time the leatherwork helps to fund my Busse addiction. :D:D:D

My first sheath was the brown Skelly warden sheath in this picture.

And a few of my latest.

Your work has really improved from being great, to being stellar and on par with any leather worker in the business.

Great stuff as usual!!!

Man, that's a killer first sheath! :D

Those are all great pics - sometimes I go to your website just to look at the sheath pics on there. Nice website, too, by the way.

Your work started out good and has only gotten better, excellent looking sheaths:thumbup:

Love that TC holster, what caliber and scope you using?

I've went to all Burris on my scoped handguns. Leupold on long guns, but the Burris handgun scopes have a great field of view.

Chuck, I was really am impressed and satisfied with the two sheaths I've received (a FBMLE and HOGFSH) few month back. Thanks for the great workmanship. Nice pictures, thanks for sharing.:thumbup::thumbup::D

Great work, brother. If I ever decide on leather, rest assured you'd be one of the guys on my short list.

Why am I thinking about Jack Nicklaus shooting a 57 on the first nine holes he ever played? Must be something to do with natural talent.

Ken, The Tc belongs to a friend, it was a 7x30, that sheath gave me fits as he didnt want a strap/snap, I ended up working out a tab to hold the gun in that you push with your thumb, he has used it for hunting and he is still happy with it. I laugh looking at it now with that nasty looking dye job. :D

On a side note I went shooting today and had a blast, I got my sig 220ST, M1 Garand, Ruger 10-22, SW K22, Ar-15 and Beretta 96 all very dirty. :D:D

A friend brought a shotgun and a clay pigeon thrower along also, and he was very good. I on the other hand need some practice.:grumpy:

Bro,

That first sheath is great (no wonder you jumped in headfirst -- you're a natural!) But your recent stuff is just incredible, awesome work!

Nice sheaths! That ffbm game warden piggyback rig looks familiar.;)

Xaman, Thanks.. I saw the carving you did and it looks great. I cant seem to find the time to practice carving.

Stropko, it should look familiar. :D I should have your next one done in the next few days. I just finished cementing the whole thing together. I will let it dry overnight and get the sides sanded tomorrow.
