Thank you everyone. It took about 18 hours of sanding to remove most of the pit marks by hand. My great wife was so patient as I sanded while we watched tv. I love the mirror finish more than satin, so I believe I have lots of stripping coming up. I totally enjoyed this project. I'll be starting a new project soon.
