My first Busse....when the check comes

I have been carrying a variety of small, inexpensive (under $100) fixed blades for many years. I think now that I am getting $600 from the government I would buy my first Busse, probably from one of you guys. I live in Florida so concealment is an issue. What blade would you suggest as an EDC, an Active Duty or Game Warden? I think thickness is more of a problem then length when concealing. I have never held either of these knives, but I want one.
Thanks for your input.

If I had to pick between them... AD.

Why? Fits my hand better, i.e. I can get my pinky finger all the way onto the grip with the AD and with my GW it is 1/2 way off the pommel.

the fatty game warden is a bit thick at .27".....i would either get a thin warden or an AD for an EDC....

but, i'm new here, so maybe an old timer can chime in....

actually, i started how you did....

i got a game warden to see what the fuss was all about....one month later, i own two battle mistresses a game warden and a ARK in the mail.....

you will get a battle mistress anyways, so you might as well make it your first busse....

I started with a GW a month ago and I like it a lot.

Once you start its hard to stop, I have two more blades in the mail.

Ad for me .

GW or AD. They both work ... just fine.

Just to make it easier for you, here are the production GW models courtesy of the fantastic photographic skills of one Lunde:

Hey Excranium,

Where in Florida are you? I'm a Busse noob down in Miami, Florida, but I have a few knives I can let you fondle (no-homo;)) if you're around my way. Let me know.

AD is great! But also check out the Cultie (cutellus).

Welcome to the madness...

In my personal opinion, the cultie is too thinin the handle for a real EDC. It works more for me as a paring/steak type knife. I will probably EDC my Game Warden before my Cultie...but the goods news is that I have both, so if you're around my way you'd get to try both.

I would love the try an AD as well, but right now there are other INFI priorities. : D

Thickness has nothing to do with it, length is everything.

I could and did conceal a fat SHBA as a EDC. A 3/16 Satin Jack would not work. Juat a couple of inches too long.

The AD as a EDC was nice, never knew I even had it on.

For me, the OAL of the SHBA (~9 3/4") was about max for my style of carry. B-T-B (Behind the belt), crossdraw, covered with a shirt tail.

YMMV
