My first Busse

Hey guys, I finally got my first Busse after lusting for so long. I was able to make a trade for a Sar-3!





Now for my next Busse!! I haven't done any knife buying in a while and have $750 to spend. I know I will be using it on Busse stuff. This is where I need y'all to come in. Do I get one of the big choppers or go for 2 different ones? If you could help me get an idea what I can get for that budget I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks and I look forward to participating in this forum for a long time!!
 
Congrats and welcome! I recently picked up my first Busse as well. Enjoy it! :)
 
For 750.... Id call the shop and order a NMFSH then you would still have enough to email swamp rat and order an RMD. After that you would probably still have enough for sheaths :)

And then your small, medium, and large bases will all be covered :D
 
Welcome to the madness!

THere is a lot that can be had for $750. There is a lot of value out there on the exchange and available in all three companies to pick from right now.

Depending on color and handle material that you like. There is a lot of resc that is a lot cheaper too.

nice sar3, i carried one for quite a while and loved it. as for your 750 i would prob try to find a b10 LE or b11 and a pork shank or something in the 4"-6" range, knifehunter s idea isnt bad either go all res-c and youll likely be able to pick up more steel, of course world wood has a good point...but then i mean theres mistress s and .....oh wait an AMS or no beter yet........... Yea so thats how that s gonna go for a bit :D good luck and great score , welcome.

I only have the NMFSH but its a beast! So i cant really suggest the best chopper.

I cant see much being better than this NMFSH though.

But no matter what you pick for a chopper id still go after an RMD. You cant NOT have an RMD. Im not sure there has been, or ever will be a better blade in that size. For the price of it, and the amount of your budget, you owe it to yourself. You wont regret it, even if you did you could put it on the exchange. Reasonably priced RMDs sell in under a day almost every time i seen one listed.

Congrats :thumbup::D Great choice. With 750 to spend i would look for a kz2 or TTKZ .
 
Congrats on the SAR! I've always loved the looks of them. My vote would go for a big chopper.
