My first Busse

I was just notified yesterday of a charge to my account by Busse Combat. I'm guessing this what you guys call being dinged? Nearly a year after I ordered it I have a SOS LE on its way, I'm really looking forward to this thing getting here.
I'm anticipating this knife will be good enough that I can retire most of my other fixed blades. Doubt anything could replace my go to hunter my Schrade 153, but hoping to get rid of the others and only have the one.
For a long time I've been looking for a knife like this SOS and thought that this one might just fit what I was looking for perfectly. Just the right size blade, a good blade shape, (too many newer knives are overly designed in my opinion), not too thick stock, and I'm a fan of the flat and saber grinds.Though it's a bit more than I wanted to spend, I don't think I'll regret it.

So now, just suffering through the wait till it arrives. Anyone know how long we have till these SOS's are shipped out?
 
Congrats! Though I fell out of the Busse world for awhile, I remember my first many years ago. I have no doubt you will love it. Waiting is hard but worth it. You only see the $$$ signs the first time. After that the disease takes over and you go partially blind so you can't see those $$$ signs as clearly for the next one, or the one after that. Welcome to the madness.
 
The shop has been running a bit slow shipping blades after payment these days.
Expect about a month if my last two blades were any indication.

This should be a great first Busse Blade for you! Congratulations! I think after using it and seeing how easy Infi is to Sharpen-ReSharpen in the field,(Not to mention the toughness) you will look back and think you got a bargain on it!

Thank you for that bit of information evltcat. Anxious as I am, a month doesn't seem too long considering we ordered these almost a year ago.
I'll be sure to update this post with pictures and my first impression.
 
Very nice knife . Great size also and I think you'll find that it will replace most of your other fixed blade knives :thumbup:
 
My last two blades were shipped around a week after ding. So hopefully soon! But congrats, hope it works well for you
 
OddBlade, Congrats on your first Busse knife! They're not cheap, but it will last a lifetime, and if there is a problem the warranty can't be beat.
 
Congrats man! When it comes, get out there are put it to good, hard use! And post pics!
 
I just got my shipping notice. I've been feeling a bit envious of those who have already received their knives. Since this is my first Busse I may be a bit over anxious to have this knife in my possession.
I go on to the UPS site to see the estimated delivery date, and the site is down.
My wait must continue, there is no other option to being patient.
