I'm already talking to Marc about what to get next. :D
I may have to sell off some of the gun collection to start the Busse collection off right.

The UPS girl just dropped off this little puppy and I'm in love. I do have one question since this is my first Busse and it's also the first I've seen or held. Are all of them ground to different angles on each side of the blade? How would one go about sharpening this? I do most of my knives to a 40 degree to get that hair poppin sharp edge. Your help is appreciated.

Thanks
Raden

Yes, just about every Busse knive has an "assymetrical" grind. One side is flat ground for slicing ability and ease of sharpening afield while the other side is convex so as to put some meat (INFI) behind the edge for chopping and other tough tasks where chipping and/or folding might be a concern.

Busse recommends that you strop (drawing away from the cutting edge instead of pushing towards it) on a ceramic rod. I then gently strop the other side on a Flitz charged leather strop just to remove the wire edge.

Do a search; there are many posts on the topic of assymetrical edge and sharpening Busse blades. The assymetric grind is one of the benefits of a Busse knife.

Nimrod, I was thinking somthink like that thanks for the confirmation. Not that it needs sharpening it will shave right now, it's just most of the knifes I use as EDC's are hair poppin sharp.

All you Busse guys and gals are great. I'm pretty new to the forums been on for a few months. I was hit by the Spyderco virus hard, but now that I have found the Busse line and Swamp Rat's I think I'll focus the attention to these for a long time to come. I've not seen many with this type of increase in worth.
