I have just bought a Lone Wolf Harsey T2 tanto, This is the first blade I bought, I am new to world of knifes and blades, but I always liked knifes. Tanto style looks amazing and beautiful to me, I hope I made a good purchase. Now I am waiting for my Lone wolf to arrive. What do you think about Lone wolf and their Harsey T2?
Thanks in advance.

Lone Wolf makes good knives. Their Harsey models as very well liked.

The only "downside" of the Lone Wolf Harsey models is that some might say they do not offer as good of a value as a Spyderco or certain Benchmades. In other words, since Lone Wolf is a smaller company, their knives cost a little more than comperable Spydercos, Kershaws, Benchmades, Bucks etc...

But you still get a lot of knife for the money, and the price difference isn't very large. The important thing is that you got the knife that appealed to you.

For the price, the Lone Wolf Harsey models are certainly quality pieces.

I have only handled the largest model, but it felt like a tank.

Some people love tantos, some hate them. I have found that they will cut most things as well as a more traditional blade shape. They are overall less useful, though. So I doubt you will use the tanto and find it not practical, or not good enough. It should do what you need it to do. But I, and many others, prefer a more utilitarian blade shape rather than one that is more about looking cool. There are some advantages to a tanto, though.

What kind of scales did you get?

I have two knives from LW and would not hesitate for a minute to purchase another. Mine are not Harsey models but they look like custom pieces for a reasonable price.

I've also noticed that prices are a little lower than they were last year.

Best of luck with it , I've been considering the T2 for awhile...

If you want my honest opinion....

They are very nice knives.

They are over-priced.

I personally don't like tantos, but many folks swear by them.

If you like it and it works for you, then don't worry about what others think.

Good luck and enjoy your knife,
Allen.

It a good looking knife. Give us a review in a couple of months after you have had a chance to cut stuff with it and do a sharpening.

I have had good luck with Gerber Harsey Air Ranger knives with 440-C blades (the good 440 steel). I found a sale on them for about $10 (they were blue in color) and bought several. Very solid and hold a good edge. I like Harsey's designs.

I have owned 2 T-2s over the past year, the first one I sold, then missed it and bought another one. Them model T-2 I own is coccobolo and regular blade. I like it alot, very nice cutter and is on par with my military for how it slices. Biggest drawback is yes its a small company and yes its a bit overpriced. The thing is incredibly light in the hand for its size and I personally like the ergonomics. Tanto's your on your own on. I only like them for certain things. If you like it go for it, if you decide you dont after you buy it you could always trade it.
