My first cable damascus blade !!!!

Hello folks


My first cable damascus blade ( old crane cable approximately 1095 in composition).
Polished cable damascus is darn hard to get right in scans.. so the scans sux bigtime.. any idea of better picture quality on a flatbed scanner?

It looks like you got a good weld and there don't seem to be any inclusions or delaminations of the wires.........you did real good!!!

Now, be a good bladesmith and see what the grain looks like when you break it half by bending it back and forth in a vise to check your heat-treat........

Nice blade, Bart! Even the poor scan can't hide the great "lizard skin" effect.
Is this blade the one we will trade?
