My first Carothers

Got my first one today- a Light Chopper-and first impression is very favorable. Good looking blade, well finished, all the lights look correct and proper. Quite sharp. No use yet but I hope to put it through a few motions tomorrow. I've a Fighter on order so we will see how it goes with these.

Well, if you like your light chopper as much as I like my EDC2 you’re in for a real treat. I’ve got a bunch of steel but the CPK’s have become my “if I only had one this’d be it”.

Buffed Black Linen. The second from the bottom is Unbuffed Black Linen. Black Linen was available for the last few Friday sales of the HDFK.

Good to see you. If I remember correctly, you have a Swamprat M9. I do as well, are you still liking yours? I was lucky enough to get some help obtaining one of Nathan's Medium Choppers, a bigger brother to the LC, and I absolutely love the thing. Welcome to the Carothers sub!

The Swamprat was sweet but just not one of "the ones" for me. Fr big blades, I've now got the LC, an early Fell Beast by Martin, and a competition chopper by Big Chris.

I'll bet that CC by Big Chris is wicked. I should have got in on Nathan's Competition Chopper, if even to just handle one for awhile.

I picked up my first Carothers not long ago also. I love big,thick blades so I had to get the elusive Heavy Chopper. I had to do some wheeling and dealing but it was well worth it. I haven’t been this happy over a knife in a long time. This is one magnificent piece of 3V!

^ IIRC, there are only 6 of those Prototype HCs around. I am very impressed by your ability to wheel and deal for one of those, specially in lieu of the fact that being your first ever Carothers knife. Very well done
