Here is the first carving I've done on leather.

What you think of it?

Guy in Cal. had three of these dogs (he's 70 years old) this was the last one he had.
He misses his friend bad.....:(

He ordered five sheaths - this kinda a surprise for him.
Bet you can't guess the dogs name..... ( I know, I need to get some letter stamps)

Very nice for your first carving. I wish I had done as well. He will be pleased.

well done indeed and I'd say on something like that, a large capital B on the front in the fancier letter embossings stamps and on the back side, I'd use the smaller normal size letters and put the full name as well as the date and month number wise.

Very nice carving! about the only thing I've tried carving before was a horse head which was soso, not nearly as nice as this!

Yep, now, I can 'usually' keep ONE letter fairly straight but getting to emboss more at one time, I do tend to drift, hate that ;)
